Karaoke Night Returns to Spirit of Texas Distillery
There are two kinds of karaoke singers.
There are the people who carefully scroll through the songbook, weigh their vocal range, and choose something sensible.
Then there are the people who hear the opening notes of “Friends in Low Places” and suddenly believe they have been training for this moment their entire lives.
Both are welcome at Spirit of Texas Distillery on Friday, July 31, when Trends of Time Karaoke with Mike returns for an evening of music, local drinks, and questionable—but enthusiastic—high notes.
Karaoke begins at 7 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. Admission is free, so all you need to bring is a willingness to sing, cheer on the brave souls holding the microphone, or quietly enjoy the show from the safety of your table.
Whiskey, Rum, Beer, and a Microphone
Spirit of Texas Distillery produces its own Texas whiskey and rum in Pflugerville, giving guests the chance to enjoy locally made spirits while someone attempts a power ballad nearby.
The bar will be serving cocktails made with the distillery’s award-winning rum and whiskey, along with handcrafted beer. A food truck is also expected for the evening, although the specific vendor has not yet been announced.
That combination makes karaoke night an easygoing way to experience the distillery. You do not need to know mash bills, barrel entry proof, or the proper tasting terminology for whatever is in your glass. You can simply order a drink, find a seat, and decide whether tonight is finally the night you unleash your version of “Tennessee Whiskey” on an unsuspecting Pflugerville audience.
No pressure.
But the microphone will be there.
