The Story
Cellar Reserve is built around Ironroot’s Bloody Butcher Corn Bourbon, blended with select Kentucky and Indiana bourbons, then rested for up to a year in three distinct wine casks. The result is a bold, wine-influenced bourbon that leans into depth and richness without losing its bourbon backbone.

Nose
Dark and brooding right out of the gate.
Rich cocoa, fermenting tobacco, stewed cherry, and fig dominate. The nose is dense and layered—one of those pours you keep coming back to just to see what else it gives up.

Palate
The palate follows the nose beautifully. Cocoa and tobacco lead, joined by a subtle but unmistakable note of cajeta (goat’s milk caramel). The fruit shows up again on the finish—stewed cherries and fig lingering longer than expected.
At 107 proof, it drinks like it means business, but never feels harsh.

Finish
Long, sweet, and persuasive. The kind of finish that quietly insists you take another sip.

Final Thoughts
If I had one nitpick, it’d be that a slightly oilier mouthfeel could push this from very good to exceptional—but that’s a minor complaint at best. This is a seriously enjoyable bottle.
So enjoyable, in fact, that I bought it twice. The Likarish family absolutely nailed this one… and I may need to go back for a few more before it disappears.

I'm sure some of you have tried this one already. What did you think of it?
