Garrison Brothers Barn Hop Experience with Donnis Todd
If you've ever wondered what actually happens to bourbon while it sits through a few Texas summers, Garrison Brothers is offering a chance to ask the guy responsible for it.
On Friday, October 9, Master Distiller Donnis Todd will lead a special Barn Hop Experience at Garrison Brothers Distillery in Hye.
Rather than sticking to the traditional distillery tour, the experience takes guests through three working aging barns around the property for a closer look at how Garrison Brothers bourbon matures in the Texas Hill Country.
Three Barns, Three Cocktails
Donnis will guide guests through each barn, explaining what's currently aging inside and how the different environments play a role in the maturation process.
And because simply standing around looking at barrels would eventually become suspicious, there's also whiskey involved.
Guests will enjoy a different cocktail at each of the three stops, crafted to complement the experience.
It's a chance to spend some time with Garrison Brothers' Master Distiller while getting a behind-the-scenes look at the relationship between barrels, bourbon and the Texas climate.
