Meet the Maker Bourbon Dinner with Dan & Nancy Garrison
Dan and Nancy Garrison are heading to Rail & Rye in Navasota for an evening of Texas bourbon, chef-driven food and considerably more civilized behavior than my usual whiskey dinner.
The night begins with an Old Fashioned welcome cocktail, followed by four courses paired with Garrison Brothers HoneyDew, Small Batch, Single Barrel and Balmorhea Bourbon. Dan and Nancy will guide guests through the pairings and share the stories behind the whiskey.
The menu includes smoked pimento cheese with fire-roasted jalapeño, Piri-Piri Gulf shrimp, Dongpo pork belly and a buttermilk biscuit blackberry cobbler. Come hungry. This is not a sleeve-of-crackers tasting.
Standard dinner tickets are $145. VIP tickets are $195 and include an additional tasting of two limited-edition Garrison Brothers whiskeys and a bottle signed by Dan and Nancy.
