Milam & Greene Unabridged Volume 5 Online Release
Milam & Greene is releasing Unabridged Volume 5 online at noon on Wednesday, September 16. Only 260 bottles are expected to be available through the distillery’s website, so this probably is not the occasion to spend fifteen minutes remembering your password.
The fifth release in the Blender’s Reserve Collection combines seven cask components from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas. The final blend was selected through a blind tasting involving the Milam & Greene production team, whiskey writer Fred Minnick, and members of local bourbon clubs.
Unabridged Volume 5 is bottled at 121.6 proof, non-chill filtered, and priced at $94.99. According to Milam & Greene, it is the highest-proof Unabridged release so far.
Official tasting notes include Demerara sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and peach cobbler on the nose. The palate brings fig bars, sticky toffee pudding, cinnamon rolls, and stone fruit, followed by peach, marzipan, nutmeg, and fresh mint.
