4th Annual Chili Cookoff at Andalusia Whiskey Co.
Andalusia Whiskey Co. is firing things up with its Fourth Annual Chili Cookoff on Saturday, February 28, from 12:00–4:00 PM, at the distillery in the Texas Hill Country. This family-friendly event blends serious chili competition with a laid-back distillery atmosphere — and yes, whiskey will be flowing for those 21 and up.
For $10, guests can sample all competing chilis, with each ticket including a People’s Choice voting ballot to crown the crowd favorite. Tickets will be sold in person the day of the event. All ages are welcome to attend, with alcohol service limited to 21+.
Chili teams can register for free, though competitors are responsible for their own tables, tents, and cooking equipment. Chili must be ready to serve by noon, with contestant setup running from 8:00–8:30 AM. Teams are asked to prepare 2–3 gallons of chili to ensure samples last throughout the event. Sampling cups and spoons will be provided by Andalusia Whiskey Co.
Judging takes place during the event, with chili evaluated on color, aroma, consistency, taste, and aftertaste. Awards include bragging rights, fun swag, and recognition across three categories:
Traditional Red
Homestyle Chili
People’s Choice
