Garrison Brothers Bottled in Bond Release Day in Hye, Texas (2026)
Texas Independence Day in the Hill Country tends to come with two things: live music and a very long line for bourbon.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, Garrison Brothers Distillery is hosting Bottled in Bond: A 100 Proof Texas Celebration at the distillery in Hye — an all-day release event centered around their long-anticipated Bottled in Bond Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
And that’s only part of it.
They’re also releasing a Cask Strength Balmorhea Single Barrel, with proceeds benefiting the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation — so the bottles are doing some good beyond your bar shelf.
This isn’t just a quick bottle pickup either. Garrison Brothers is turning it into a full Hill Country hangout day.
What’s Happening at the Distillery
Expect a full day of music and activity starting in the morning and rolling through the afternoon:
Live Music
Noah Kurtis Band — 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
London Baileigh Trio — 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Special Appearance
Hooves & Horns — 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
(including photos with Ben the Longhorn)
This is very much a “come early, stay awhile” kind of event — classic Garrison Brothers hospitality with bourbon as the centerpiece instead of the afterthought.
Why This Release Matters
Bottled in Bond isn’t just a label — it’s a strict designation requiring a single distilling season, one distiller, one distillery, at least four years of aging, and bottled at exactly 100 proof.
Seeing that designation applied to a Texas bourbon — matured in Texas heat — always makes for an interesting comparison against traditional examples.
Between the Bottled in Bond release and a Balmorhea single barrel drop, collectors and casual fans both have a reason to show up early.
